I stopped posting for a while, not that I ever posted so much, for a few reasons. The main reason being the tragedy at Wes in early May which, along with fears of impending life changes, pushed me to a new place. Urging me to fill my time with the presence of the wonderful people around me, and mindless tasks. Reflecting on the world around me (and the world at large) was not something that felt possible at the time. It still feels daunting now, but I am also recognizing the importance of acknowledging the things that are happening and have happened in the past few months. I am not sure where it will go, or how to start.
[And yes, that's my hand, we were that close.]
For now, I'll recognize k'naan, the best concert and night ever, the inspiration for this blog and a beautiful musician, poet and thinker. I admit, that's going far back (April '09), but it's a starting point. Also, lots of love to those individuals that made the night so special; ruby-beth, sumana, jake gold, berger, and kopecks for understanding how deep our love for k'naan is and getting lost at trinity for us.
I take inspiration from the most heinous of situations, creating medication out my own tribulation.
